Strange! How can K2LE be a nice guy when he acts like
he does?

Some people always want to believe they magically have the
only FT1000 series radio that never had severe keyclicks.
They get a little defensive to the first few dozen
complainers until it sinks in that every Yaesu made for a
number of years had a bad problem, and there were no factory

Hi Bill
Yes, I was using headphones. I will do further tests with the internal 2 tone
generator and see if I still get the oscillation. Unfortunately I have very
good hearing so every pip and squeak I can hear. Even with the sidetone running
I can hear that mysterious relay resonance when keyi

I know that independent Rx control of NR was added some time ago.
It would be useful in Diversity mode if there was a way to adjust NR in both
receivers simultaneously. Maybe I am in the minority here...

Dunno about minority. But that would be a useful option. I can see
where someone might not want it on in diversity.

I was not talking about K2LE. I did not mention a name or call sign in my
little anecdote.

Oh I´m sorry. Well the other guy did. I did understand
it like K2LE was your friend. Bad understanding at

Yes of course, I know. However there is NOT a click free MP,
not even the ones the claim is "fixed". They still click
however of course much less.

W5JAW has a click free MP but he says making it totally click free
required much more work than just the common modifications - the fix
included a multi-stage ALC modification.
Two comments from Jim:

Oh I was wrong. In this case this is very good
information. However I guess since the mod is
as I understand it quite extensive not too many
will do it. I hope W5JAW will spread the info
on the mod.
By the way sorry for the Yaesu bandwith on the

So, the CNC'd K3 tuning knob arrived over the weekend. I's a very very nice
piece of work, and regardless of the endless P&M-ing about the price, it's in
line with other such products.
But this isn't about knobs, and I'm not trying to start another endless
twitter-like thread on the subject,

Hi All - I've got a KDSP2 assembled DSP board and accompanying manual for
sale. I posted it on eBay a few minutes ago as a three day auction. It'll
close on Friday evening, May 7 at 7:50 pm PDT or so, unless someone grabs it
via the Buy It Now (BIN). Starting bid is $145, BIN is $189. The eBay ite

Hi Jim,
A couple of notes ...
1) when you ship the board to it's new owner, be sure to include the hex
standoff/spacer.
2) unless the buyer has built his/her K2 so that it is "op
Gary - thanks for bringing this to my attention - I'd have never thought
about it!! I "may" have all three components already - need to check the
parts bag in the morning. Otherwise I'll get those jacks ordered ASAP and be
sure they are included in the KDSP2 package.
Thanks & 73, Jim / W6JHB
