Jack, 1N5711 diodes and the headphone jack are the two most likely failure parts in the K2. You might want to consider having 2N7000 transistors and a K2PAKIT on hand as well. Replacement firmware ICs is another possibility, but those are rather pricey and do not normally fail unless they

Phil, Making a few guesses about how you have reported the situation, I would say that you may have the XV50 input attenuator set incorrectly. I would suggest setting the K2 power for 5 watts - then with that drive level, adjust the XV50 input attenuator to produce 20 watts output. Then

I sometimes use the A/B to switch between the CW and phone section of a band.   I like to set the P3 to FixMode and adjust the right edge to align with the band edge, say 14.000.0.  So if I set VFO A to 14.025 in CW mode and switch to VFO B at 14.240 also in CW mode I can switch back and forth
