Is there an interface commercially available that combines CW keying and K3 rig control (from N1MM type software) into a single serial cable? I think K1NU used to make these for Yaesu radios, but I'm not sure they are available any more. Thanks/73, Will AA4NC __

Will, Sure. It's called a regular DE9 straight-through serial extension cable. You probably already have one. The pins in the K3 RS232 port that would normally be connected to the PC's RTS and DTR outputs can be used for PTT and CW keying. Search the K3 owner's manual for "ptt-key". 73, ~iai

I just put together a new P3 and it isn't seeing the rig. It also will not see the computer through the P3 Utility with the serial cable. If I unplug power from the P3, I can see the K3 through the same cable using the K3 Utility (same comport, 4). I am using an Aten usb adapter, but it works f

I use N1MM this way with one standard serial cable for single-port rig control and PTT/CW keying, using a USB to Serial adapter manufactured by Gearmo that uses an FTDI chip set. I use just one of the four ports for the K3, the others are attached to other devices.

I originally tried a stereo USB sound card but found that the iPad didn't recognize it. Ended up going the iSDR / Griffin iMic route, through the Apple camera connectivity kit, and it worked. I ordered the Griffin through Amazon because, as you have found, the local stories 1) never heard of it and
