Similar issue here for a while.
When I first built the KX3 it calibrated out using the KX3 utility

Does 45 versus 75 baud make any difference to the K3. Or does it just

I have the proper OEM serial cable for my K2.
I would like to experiment with sending frequency commands to the K2

I'm sure that by now there are perhaps tons of user notes on the steps

Does anyone have any notes they can point me too?
Thanks!!
Hello Marcel,
Have you had a mono plug inserted into the speaker jack?
Even if you are just using one speaker, you -must- use a stereo
plug for the speaker/speakers.
The sleeve of a mono plug will short the audio IC and may
cause it to fail

I ask the same question: Has anyone found a source for Yamaha CM500

I have a Radio Shack P/N 274-0374 1/8 Mono Jack to 1/8 Stereo Plug Adapter

No smoke so far, but I've wondered if the mono input side of the adapter
still shorts the stereo output. Suppose I should test it and find out. I

Gary,
A stereo to mono adapter will usually not work. If you follow the
diagram for most of those adapters, the result will be the same as using
a mono plug - the ring will still be connected to the sleeve of the mono
plug.
The only real answer is to change the mono plug of your ICOM SP 20
Bruce,
You can request an RSA number by contacting supp...@elecraft.com.
Be aware that SPLIT is a per band setting. If you set SPLIT on for one
band and then change bands, you will find that SPLIT is not active on
the new band.

Hello Don and thanks for the info…that’s what I expected…a short from ring to
sleeve. I have a 1/8 stereo plug to solder up to the SP 20 tomorrow per your
suggestion. Somewhere I read that Elecraft had installed some bleeder
resistors (or ?) to help delay the inevitable smoke from the audio amp.
Marcel,
You have probably blown the speaker amplifier chip, U1 on the DSP
Board. Many of us have had the same problem. Elecraft has not
been able to determine the cause of the failures, so they have
not provided a solution.
The part is inexpensive, but is very difficult to replace because
