Hi Jack sorry to bother you on the weekend. I did get the KPA500 working. Don't know what I did but I played around with the DDUtil a bit and it started working. The DDUtil acts as a bridge between the Flex and the KPA500. The DDUtil reads information from the Flex and send it to the KPA500.
