I suspect that the K3 does not have any design features for minimizing
susceptibility to ESD. The K2 apparently does not. When I moved to NV from
CA I had a rude awakening. The humidity here is low, often in single digits.
I always draw sparks to every piece of metal, e.g., light switch plate
My old Alpha 78 works just fine with full breakin on the K3. I just key the
amp with the K3 and did not have to worry about time delays, etc. I have

I bought some Kester solder in 1953, used it throughout the years, and still
have some left. It works just fine, better in some respects than solder that
I bought more recently. I used it occasionally in construction of my K2/100
where I needed the larger diameter solder.

Are there any plans to immediately put the K3 manual on the website for
download? Lacking any specific performance information, the manual would
help us understand the design and make a decision on whether to purchase a
K3 before test results, complete details, etc are available.
