For some reason, the side tone is not coming over to the control PC.
I think that's everything!
Any ideas? Maybe a setting? The Monitor level is set fine on the K3, so
that's not the problem.
I contacted Tom, author of Win4K3Suite and he suggested I contact this group.

Hi John,
Yes, I use the K3_EZ V2005 with Win7, 64 bit and it works perfectly fine.

Hi John,
It makes it very easy to adjust/tweak settings in the K3, rather than using the
buttons on the radio itself.

Hi Jeff,
If you have a 2008 version, yours is much newer than mine. My version is 2005
and it works fine for my needs... BUT, if you could send me a copy of your
version, I would appreciate it.

Hi All,
I received a couple of cable from Elecraft today, and I am not having any luck
getting them to work. I go into the device manager and it says a driver has
not been installed. I tell it to update the driver, it goes out to the

Hi Mitch,
Yes, good idea! I am also going to call Elecraft and speak with Brandon. I
tried that yesterday, but he had the day off.
As of now, firmware in both K3's are the same, firmware in both RemoteRig units

So, we will go from there.

I had a person tell me the rig sounds like it has a defect.

no changes in SWR or power output.
Any ideas?

Hi Steve,
Yes, the P3 is a great tool to use in both contesting and dxing. It also tells
a lot about what is going on with the band.

Hi All,
I would like to know if there is a way, when starting up the P3, to have the
VFO A marker show up all the way to the left of the screen? Every time I move
it to the left, shut it down, then turn it back on, it centers itself.
Thanks in advance,

I was able to answer my own question. I was able to use a macro to change the
center freq position. My reasoning for wanting to do this is to be able to
remotely use the P3.

Wayne,
I, for one, would rather wait and know I am getting the best that Elecraft
can offer; design, component, price wise.
I've seen too many jobs/products rushed into to meet the market demand, only
to have problems down the road and end up doing a re-design.

as they are, to forget the 250Hz
and go with the 200Hz. Personally, I chose the 250Hz because it is a 8-pole

Good luck in your purchase, you will not be sorry choosing a K3!
