for a long weekend (hooray!). I don't have a KX1, so I don't know
exactly, but I do have a CMOS-4 (and an Elecraft K2). The CMOS-4 uses an
RCA jack for the key output. To interface my K2 to my CMOS-4 keyer,
I'll second Andrea's remarks on mail lists being far superior to web
forums. I would say that if the mailing list were to be replaced with
anything, it should be a usenet group. But then the usenet group would
need to be moderated to avoid being completely overrun by spam -- so I
still think the
Idiom Press makes an external SCAF-based audio filter that does an
excellent job of eliminating hiss, among other things. The web site
