You are correct, Don. I too missed that the K3 was being operated remotely.
As I said earlier, if it is possible to change frequency using the keyboard
with HRD then it should be possible to program the PowerMate driver to send
the same keystrokes to HRD, so KTune would not be necessary. The only
Greg,
Thanks for that information. I have not tried it yet, but if KTune
works no matter what window has focus, then that is a big "selling point".
I plan to try it through LP-Bridge.
I am not certain this addresses the original question about use of a

A Griffin PowerMate (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/powermate)
allows you to do this with some s/w - not sure about HRD, as Simon.

Bob, what's the advantage of that over the knob ON the rig?

There is a program on
You can sit with the k/b under your fingertips and tune with your arm resting
on the desk, so if your s&p or looking for that rare DX, its less tiring.

This might be a question for an HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe software) group, but
since I'm only interested in connecting my K3s, I thought I'd see if anyone
was on top of this. Does HRD allow some type of encoder input whereby I
could have a "real" VFO knob adjusting frequency rather than using a mouse?
