Lee,
As was mentioned, think about the roofing filters in the main and sub
receivers. If you wish to change the filters later, you must remove the
subRX (which is not as difficult as some would make it).
As far as the AUX antenna, I would recommend that you install the BNC
jack the the AUX
Take a run at what u want in main and sub for filters as the sub will need to
be removed for any changes afterwards.

Use stereo speaker !!
You can then use both ears for both receivers with
individual volume control.
Place the speakers as you wish for best spatial readability.

When the topic involves only the K3, many of us would appreciate
everyone having the courtesy of putting K3 in the subject line.

Hi Bill:
You have to re-read Ruben's quote. He wants it for his second K3 that does
NOT include the RX input which means he does NOT have a KXV3 board. If you
take the KXV3 out of the equation his request makes perfect sense.

If he is going to be operating *split* then he can only transmit on the
SubRx Frequency(VFO B) and listen on the Main. You cannot transmit on
the main and listen on the Sub in Split mode. At least I haven't found a
way. :-)

I wasn't really planning a subreceiver now, but we'll be visiting the U.S.
around easter. If the backlog keeps clearing,
I just might be able to bring one home, avoiding 25% VAT plus expensive freight
to Europe in a legal manner.
(Not buying a subreceiver at all will save even more money :-) ).
If you order the stock K3 or the stock subreceiver,
the widest you will hear is 2.7khz since the receiver
MUST have a roofing filter and the 2.7 filter is
provided as stock. If you want to hear wider audio you
must buy the AM filter (5KHZ) or the FM filter (15khz)
as an option.

all the filters in the main receiver except for
