I have had 80-20 on my KX1 for several years of operating portable. These were
in HI, ON, VE9 and SOTA using a long wire, counter poise and builtin tuner. A
truly great rig, however I doubt I have made more than a half dozen Q's on 80.

The coax that shipped with the unit (interconnection between the K3 and P3)
was defective and was letting all sorts of signals into the P3. I replaced
that with a high quality coax cable and the issue went away.

an order of magnitude, and that's being generous.

a criterion to make the list could be, "What would the factory
do?" By that I mean which are important enough for them to do when a piece of

The filter was a 200kc wide bandpass filter so you would see all
the signals of interest. So may have helped with the input to the LP Pan which
was the hot setup back then.
