The essence of gantrykins is assigning 2 or more joints to 1 axis.
So what original poster wants is moving 2 motors toget

I know that you are in a different time zone, but I think that I have a
customer (the waterjet retrofit customer) who would be happy to talk to
you or your customer about the reliability of EMC2 on their machine.
They are located in the USA, in the State of Indiana, Eastern Standard

Wow, thanks!
I will let You know, if that will be necessary :)
I also have machines running EMC2.
All three machines run every day. Soon to be four when the mechanical issues
are resolved.
The only issue I hear is about the ease of starting/restarting in the middle
of a program. All the operators seem to be able to handle the
starting/restarting but none seem

It is very hard to explain in short to those, who have never seen it in life.
There was no private property in communism, everything belonged to
everyone, so actually - nobody in particular. So that is why ma

No, but I do have a bit of experience with servo-hydraulic machines,
Specifically Schenck testing machines. I have occasionally thought

By your name I'm thinking you must be Romanian? I was there in 2003 and married
a Romanian woman so I understand what you say. Also, many told me that the
government was basically the same people after the revolution. My wife is very
saddened by the state of her country now.

EMC will just work I would say. The servo factors will be a bit more tricky
to set up, since there is now no speed stabilizing loop around the motor /
drive.
I know old hydraulic copy mills quite well: they work just perfect if set up
properly. When not there is a bit of overshoot etc.

When do you plan the first welding?

I hope to start welding. Before that I have a time to finish attaching

one of my next projects is to see if we can get an old Cincinnati lathe

course) and want to try initially just driving the valves.
