So back for a bit, and have decided to get the D525MW w/1GB of RAM.
Placing order in the morning. I completely forgot about this
CF-to-IDE option, and will prob look into it later, but for now I'm
anxious to get something up and running. Incremental dev ;)
FWIW, I have 16 2.5 drives

In HostMot2, outputs are inverted by
setting the invert_output attribute of the proper GPIO bit.
Got stuck with this - how do I specify that I want to invert direction

Hello, gentlemen!
I am trying to add pyvcp button that would move the machine to
particular position;
For that I have:
1) in INI file I wrote:
[HALUI]
MDI_COMMAND = G0 G53 X100 Y100
2) xml file, where I specified the text and name of halpin
3) postgui HAL file that links pyvcp pin to

Look in the dmesg output from when the hm2 driver
Ok, thanks!
Unfortunately I was on a very short time, so I left it with minus
sign before scale parameter in INI file. It seems that it works that
way too.

Hello, folks!
I got the BIOS version that is on the D525 board.
I also ran a short latency test.
Few days ago I was asked if I could add that to wiki page. I would
gladly do that, but...
Which page should I post it in?
This one?

By the way, which latency do you have?
My D525MW shows up to 18000 with 2 glxgears running for several hours.
Even base period 35000 results in realtime delay
I have to admit that I was able to run latency test for a short time interval.
Max jitter was 7300 ns.
Nevertheless I am running it with a 0,75 ms servo period, which gives
update interval of 1,33 kHz and I have never had any messages about
realtime delays.
The machine has 7i43 board, which runs

Do you have isolcpus set? That might help. My
Oh yes, I have isolcpus=1!
No special hyperthreading disabling though.

Could you guys please explain isolcpus and hyperthreading? Are these in
the BIOS? What should these be set at for a D510MO?
Much thanks!

Thanks for the explanation. I have two D510MO (Sherline stepper lathe and PPMC
servo mill) and I will change them both.
Cheers,
Jim
