I am looking at setting up a 4 axis mill with spindle forward and reverse, coolant control, 3 axis home and limits, and maybe a probe input. It looks like a 7I37COM and 2 7I29's will work well for interface and power. Will I need the extra I/O ? It doesn't look like it but TIA Ed. ---

I am running a similar machine a 1997 Cincinatti Arrow 500 VMC using a 5i25/7i77 combo. AC servos spindle control and coolant. Still have lots of I/0 left and can add fourth axis whenever I need to. They sell it as a combo with cable and I got the din rail mounting kit makes for a nice install.

John, Are you going to the fest in Houston? I am looking for another driver. My wife is dithering on going, and I am guessing she probably won't want to leave nobody keeping an eye on the kids for that long. It appears to be about 13 hours from St. Louis. That's doable in one shot for two dri
