Um, no, that HP 7800 SFF has *terrible* latency - it will spike up to 133,000 after 20 minutes or so. Based on Kirk's recommendation I bought the same one on ebay and installed LinuxCNC 2.7 but the latency was really bad. I tried turning off every power saving features in the bios and all the trick

I was getting similar symptoms - random stuff happening in Axis, windows popping up, etc. - and it turned out it was just a cheap usb keyboard that started malfunctioning and sending out random keystrokes. I replaced the keyboard and everything is fine... - Claude On Wed, May 13, 2015 at 6:54 AM,

This happens to me too (and then Axis will complain about an axis exceeding it's limit) but if I reload the NGC file after touching off then Axis will then display it in the correct location relative to the touch off origin and everything works fine. If someone knows a way to change this behavior

[Emc-users] max velocity seemingly ignored

2013-01-30 Thread Claude Zervas
Hello, I hope this isn't too dumb of a question. I did search the archives and the manual first but couldn't find an answer there. The problem is that the MAX_VELOCITY set for my Z axis is ignored by linuxcnc during both homing and feeds. I have it set to 0.2 IPS but Axis shows 12 IPS during homin

Hello, Just wondering if someone might know why LinuxCNC interprets the G04 dwell command parameter as seconds instead of milliseconds? I'm fairly certain most other machines (ie Fanuc and others) interpret the P value as milliseconds. For example, the command: G04 P3000 is interpreted by most m
