When you find where gpg2.exe is stored then you can change the OpenPGP
preferences. Look at the files and directories section in the basic
section.

er copy gpg.exe from the directory where it is
located to where enigmail says it should be or you can create a
symbolic link pointing to the file. I do not know if windows supports
symlinks.

it is difficult but you can use your mouse to copy an encrypted
message into nano or your favorite editor and save as filename.asc.
Then use gpg -d filename.asc to decrypt the message.
I do not have an answer why the enigmail key generation wizard hung up.

I noticed that the error seems to be with gpg2. When you used the
command line did you use gpg or gpg2. I have had problems in the past
with gpg2 whereas plain old gpg always worked fine.

that you need remove
the everything in the Auto-Type tab except {PASSWORD}
All of my other passphrases/passwords are kept in a symetric encrypted
file called .passwd.gpg. I even have the keepass master passphrase in
this file
ist-keys artisticslate.com
gpg --fingerprint artisticslate.com
Match the fingerprint between the two computers.
If the fingerprints match, you might want to restart Thunderbird.
