You should probably stick with the esound package provided by RH9.
Regarding E16.7, in case you don't actually want to compile the CVS

Matias,
I'm just guessing since I don't use RedHat, but I would guess
./libtool and ./ltconfig are created by autogen.sh but probably require
libtool to be installed. Is there a RH rpm of libtool/libtool-devel
installed on your system? I have libtool-1.5.6-i486-1 installed here
(slackware 10.0)

Hi;
Thanks to Kim (who nicely answered my newbie-like questions), I could
compile the cvs of E-0.16.7-pre4. Just in case this helps someone: I use
RH-9, and I had to update the gettext and autoconf, automake packages
(besides installing Imlib2-devel).
Now I'm trying to compile esound. When runni

RIght now, Eterm cvs has support for imlib2 and freetype2 (as far as I can tell). I've
been using it for quite some time now too. My main gripe before was that there was no
support for code page 1251 (bulgarian charset(cyrillic)). However, since Eterm now has
support for freetype2 (as is E, whic
