Why not both?
I think eeze is still experimental while udisk works complete (be careful,
udisk works but udisk2 doesn't!)

Can you mount at all with efm/enlightenment, or just not automount things?
A while ago in e17 days I had this file mode and also couldn't mount
anything. If you don't have it, try installing udisks (might need to
rebuild enlightenment, not sure). If that doesn't work, try adding
--enable-mount-eeze

A little more especific about how complex filemanger do you need.
for me thunar v. 0.8.0 works fine, it`s "light" and functional. i heard rox
filemanager is another good alternative (never tested it)
Cheers
rox is a pretty full featured filer that is fast! it's my fav. for just
moving arbitrary files about. Other than that, xterm rules!

Raster is working on E's built-in file manager, it's kinda useful right
now. Yet its not finished and a bit buggy and the biggest part of the
features that it will have are not implemented yet.
There are some standalone file
You may try PCMan File Manager, which currently fullfills my needs :p

which has a huge amount of files. I notice that when my directory is
filed with picture
