I didn't think about
Does anyone know if the EOS-D30 is sensitive into IR and if it works
with the Hoya R72
infrared filter or something similar?

There are several very high resolution photographs taken with this lens on
the site.
Do a search for "EF 35-350"

Am planning on buying an Elan 7, mostly for macro work. Have already
decided on the new Canon USM 100mm, but not sure about a choice for a 50mm.
The manual focus on the Canon 50 mm felt a little sloppy to me. Of course
that's compared to the FD lenses that I'm accustomed to . The Sigma 50

Some have reported that Canon now uses a more robust component(s) to make
the repair.
Horizon Electronics has received a ton of endorsement on this user group for
their repair
Hello,
I am new to the list. I subbed to the list specifically to find out any
information about my mode dial breaking on Saturday. I went to the archives
and got some information on how to get it fixed but was wondering if there
was any new information since this seems to be a recurring proble
I love mine. I have taken it all over the world, and it takes
magnificent photos. It is pretty heavy, but I find that coming back
with the best possible photos is more important than an occasional
neck ache. :-)

You really need to try it to appreciate how big a lens it really is.
Plus you've got to pay for 77mm diameter filter

Thomas,
Thanks for waking me up.
I have both, the 28-70 and the Tamron 1.4X SPAF but never thought of
using them together.

Doug,
Only the EOS 3 and EOS 1V will autofocus
I went travelling recently, and took with me a 24mm and a 50mm macro (Sigma
EX) lens. I took some close-up shots, especially while hiking in the
mountains, so the macro lens was useful. So was the wide-angle, especially
in cities. But I could have used a lens that was a little longer. I started
