Recently I installed RH 8.0 from the demo CDs and noticed very slow download rates over cable (for the time being completely ignoring upload). Though I did a custom install there was little to config since RH detected and suggested DHCP (except the funny thing(*) below). For security I picked 'medi

Anybody need a piece of furniture? I have an older swiveling chair with a beautiful duct tape job on the arm rests. The chair is actually in good condition and very sturdy. Perfect for any bachelor's living room. Just speak up and I'd even be willing to drop it off. __

One more comment: avoid runnig other large processes (like backups) while your cron.daily is running (often defaults to 2..4 am). Log rotation and analysis of large log files may interfer with a process that works on the same files. My preference for crontabs is to keep and edit them as regular fi
