That's what I did. BLK_DEV_PCD202XX_NEW sees the card but not the drives. BLK_DEV_PDC202XX_OLD sees the card and the drives but not the fact that they are mirrored. IDEDMA_PCI_AUTO is set in either case. I'll stay with 2.4.20, for now. Maybe the kernel guys gave up on Promise beyond using it ju

If you are on softraid I'd make sure you didn't compile in support for IDE RAID controllers and be sure to compile in support for the chipset as just an IDE controller.
