I remember when you said that a 6kw charger was not needed and a overkill
because you only needed a x amp to get to work and charge at somebody else's
expense. Now you say you need 40 amp. WOW. What has changed, you? EV events

Your suggestion is acknowledged, but not accurate. I don't think you have
boots on the ground nor are in the trenches. You haven't talked to the
future, current or past converters like I have for over 10 years now. Like I
said, there is only one way to do a conversion, the right way. You keep

Turnout at the event today was good, but not for conversions. About 50% less
conversions than last year and not a sing one representing a new build less
than 3 years. At least 6 people wanted to sell their broken conversions due
to dead acid. Like I said before, its going down the toilet, little or
You hit the nail on the head. You are right about the voltage. So far, our
tests using a higher voltage to the AC-45 than 105VDC is outstanding.
Currently testing it with the Curtis 1239 144 VDC controller at 144 VDC. We
haven't jacked it up to 170 VDC yet, waiting to finalize the

The AC-45 is a reworked AC-31 with a lot of improvements over the AC-31. As a
Curtis trained programmer in VCL there is a lot of programming improvements
in the controller as well. Too bad you don't know what you are talking
about. I think you should be very careful using the word fraud against

My VW would do the same in 1st gear if I wanted to destroy the car. The
AC-45 is now referred to as the "BEAST"

You need to really think through your plans. I used 8850 18650 cells from
Panasonic to build a conversion in 2002, the first Li-ion powered car with a
35kw pack. It was a nightmare during the planning stage. I used the 18650
cells that had tabs, which made it a lot easier to connect. After driving
Interesting, after talking to many of the conversion owners, they didn't use

I guess you don't know how to look for or find charging stations. A good
excuse for not wanting to attend. Or maybe its more than that.
