3.3kW wireless charging pads exist now for electric vehicles.
Why not wireless through the roofing/deck ?

Thanks, Bruce, very timely for me, having looked at a used leaf tonight.
Has anyone looked into getting a second leaf pack and using
contactors/etc to switch between packs ?
Would take up some interior space...

I've been wondering for a few months if/when (90 mile range) EV auto
manufacturers would announce/release retrofits for the earlier models to
bring them up to the 125/150/176/200 mile range. Tesla has already
established that practice, but they are building a car company and have

The Leafs seem to be the most reliable as a population, at least I
haven't run across information to the contrary yet, while the i3, e-Golf

Is there any website with data on reliability for all/most of the

Bob, thanks for writing in about your effort and the response. It
spurred me into action, I went there and submitted my thoughts on the
Prius (I have an '02, and on the newest models), but more so on the FCV
vs BEV debate. Perhaps many of us could sway them, eventually.
Thanks again,

They should lighten up the vehicle first. 2015 = 3,859 lbs
They should add V2H/V2G first. So I can run my house off the car when
the grid goes down.
Vehicles moving by themselves in an open space is not a good idea.
Injuries will occur; or a more extensive locked-out 'carport' is
required.

Do lithiums charge 4x faster than lead acid? Is this market positioning
on their part?
It might be apples and oranges, with the center 60-80% of the lithium
pack used, and say 100% of the lead acid, of course it will take hours
longer to take lead to 100%.
