Dan,
There is something in the Resource Kit called imccopy.exe which will
duplicate an IMS (i.e. it's Directory entry) and it's queues and allow you
to import it into a new server. It uses standard import/export files for
Exchange admin.

Easiest (and cheapest) is to use NTBackup. WHen you install Exchange, you
also install an Exchange-aware version of NTBackup. You can schedule NTBackup to
run using the AT command line or WinAT GUI.

Right. So block everything except that which you
Do you filter only the types in the Basics list because the full filter list
slows down processing too much?

That would explain why .eml files aren't blocked. ;)
Thanks, Martin.

Damn them! My list is over 2 years old.
No, the whole thing. Keep in mind, this is email, not folder access.
Your users are not going to notice if it takes 1 second or 5 to get an
email. They wont see it till it hits the inbox and it will be scanned by
then.
I don't know what AV software you are using, but with Scanmail I do

I'm looking for a ISP/ASP that we can use to queue mail and as a backup mail
server/mail relay in the event our primary SMTP server goes down. Our
existing ISP, Qwest, does not provide this service. Can anyone recommend a
provider that can perform these functions?
Thanks,
Steve

We use ViaWest, though recommending them would be a stretch.
The queuing up of SMTP email (with a low priority MX record), is a
requirement for even being considered as an ISP around here.

I use a 3rd party ISP just because Qwest will not provide that service. Many
ISP's will provide that service for free or very low cost. Look in you area.
