Exchange 5.5 SP4 on NT4 SP6
Outlook XP and Outlook 2000.
My coworker and I are trying to determine how Outlook really
works. We have noticed that when we are dialed up on our laptops and connected
to our network via an IPSEC VPN connection (same with PPTP), when we connect to

are you using the Exchange system account - if not try that. Are you
doing the operation right on the exchange server? try that. Both of

you restore the DIR.EDB file. You will need to reset permissions using the
Exchange admin program, or a command line utility (PFADMIN).
BLB's (as most everyone else on the list will confirm) are a waste of tape

are stored with the folder object in the respective store (priv or pub).
Hence a full restore of the Exchange 5.5 directory will not restore
