I managed by looking through Outlook and found there is an export/import
option on the window where you edit the rules, that sufficed for the task.

I have a frontend CAS and Backend Mailbox Server Exchange 2010 both as Hub
Transport Servers for redundancy.
I have Mail Disclaimer software setup on the backend mailbox server thinking
the emails will use the local Hub transport where the Disclaimer software is.
It appears that the mail is

What do you mean when you say off-box?
I have CAS+HUB and Mailbox+Hub and the Disclaimer software is on the

Uh...I'm not sure you can. It's working as intended. Disable the off-box HT,

I've got to ask - why are you using third-party disclaimer software, instead of
the built-in Exchange capabilities? Using those would solve this issue...

We are having issues with our backup solution currently. For exchange, that
means a database backup is not occurring properly and log files are not being
deleted. I am watching the disk space closely, but if the problem continues
much longer I am going to be extremely close to running out of
What exactly is your backup solution?

Somy suggestion would be to get a backup working.
Even if you have to hook up a USB drive and use Windows Server Backup to do it.

We are using Commvault Simpana 8. Exchange is backed up full on the weekend
and incremental during the week. The incrementals are failing (although
commvault shows they are succeeding). The error is:

I’ve got a feeling your full will fail, but let’s hope not.
If it still fails, the steps I’d take would be to dismount the databases (on
your own time, don’t wait for the disk space to run out!) and move – do NOT
delete them in case you need them later - the transaction logs to a temporary
Thanks, Richard. I am going to pretend the glass is half full at this point ☺
I am fortunate because how the exchange databases are architected, I can
dismount only a handful of databases to care for this problem – should that be
needed.

I'm setting up Spam Titan to email a daily quarantine report to my users. The
report lists the subject lines of each quarantined email, which of course,
makes these reports very spam-like.
I've set up a transport rule based on the subject line of the emails, to set

It appears that the VSS file is changing or something, so that the backup is
not able to verify. I believe the Backup is ok, but it would be nice to
verify. Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve the issue? Do I need to
increase the VSS max limit?
We are using Backup Exec 12.5 I believe.
You should REMOVE the VSS max limit and allow VSS to police itself.
That being said - my advice is appropriate if only Exchange is on that volume.
If other things are installed, then all bets are off. :-P

Can anyone in this group shed some light on how seamlessly Forefront TMG or
ISA Server 2006 can handle client access (OWA, Outlook Anywhere and
ActiveSync) when you have both Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 CAS?
I am looking for some guidance on the best migration strategy in this
scenario.
