Tom as you can see I'm on the win box...again!! After another hard reboot fsck couldn't even repair the damage as a result of trying to get this friggin Nvidia card working. The recommendation is that you change /etc/inittab to default runlevel of 3 and startx from console, Some kind of bug

I got so fed up with nVidia that I hopped over the pricewatch.com and found myself a deal on an S3 Savage4 to replace my Viper 550. That 550 replaced a Virge DX card on my router system where accelerated graphics are neither required nor desired. Until nVidia changes their ways with regards to
