Yup. same thing here. I'm concerned that since there is never any response from
anyone that they aren't paying attention to some MAJOR issues. I'm growing
discouraged. The same issues will make it into the final release and their
credibility suffers. Quite a few major problems, but total silence.

StarOffice is merely OpenOffice.org with a few enhancements. Besides a database,

This is pathetic. The main problem/complaint with the
original StarOffice was its size with all apps packed
into one superapp. Very slow to start up initially
but not so bad once started.
Now, the whole big monolithic thing has been split
into individual apps but it really is no faster

Hi together ,
I've an (very) old SCSI streamer and a bundle of QIC 24 tapes and forgotten how to get
it running with *nix
I've never thought that I must get some data out of them =:(
it has to run with an AHA1542.
the system recognized the SCSI Controller as seen at
/proc/scsi/aha1542

Sun pulled the StarOffice 6.0 beta in preparation for the full release
version due out this spring.
However, be warned, rumor has it

True.
It may be worht pointing out that Sun recently announced that when the
6.0 official release appears, they will be charging for i
I would DEFINITELY go with StarOffice. You cannot get
the 6 beta anymore, unless you know someone with it.
I just tried the latest Openoffice and, damn, it was
buggy and slooow. DAMN slow. I ended up
reinstalling StarOffice 5.2. It is faster and has
more working features/few bugs.

Hello experts!
I've got a graphics question, though not really specific to
any OS. A couple years ago, my wife and I went to the local mall, sat in
a booth and paid $5 to have a machine take our picture and then sketch it
in what looks like the hand of Da Vinci. It's a very cool pictu

Hi,
I am running Mandrake 8.1 on my machine. While installation the
printer(Leximark z11 inkjet) worked fine for the test page printing. But,
after that , it never worked. Is it anything I have to configure to make
printer working. Test page worked and never after i was able to print.

Hey everybody.
The thing is this. I have a dnsalias with a dynamic Ip. When my Ip
change, I run a phyton script to update de Ip in the Dns page that in
this case will be www.dyndns.org. The question is this:
Is there a way of making a script or a cron job to automatically update
the Ip, or running
