I'm not really sure what happened to make it stop screen blanking
in X. It just stopped doing it after I upgraded to 3.3.6 of XFree. If
someone could be so kind as to point out the method to get X screen
blanking automagically again, I'd appreciate it.

There is a new configuration tool for XFree86 v4.x, it's called 'xf86cfg'
and is located in the xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/xf86cfg directory of
the source code. If you have gotten an RPM of XFree86 v4.x and this is
not included; the RPM builder has made a very grave mistake!

7.2 appears to simply reboot for no reason sometimes. I have had it
rebott when attempting to compile programs manually. Is this a flook or
is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

gcc-2.95.2-12mdk
yet there is a /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i586-mandrake-linux/2.95.3 and not a
2.95.2 directory. This might be the reason behind gcc failing 9 out of 10
times when attempting to compile programs manually.

That's not the point. Packages are labeled for a reason, and this
package is not. It's just one in a string of sloppy things that are
