Hi All!
Is it possible to install Lilo onto the partition after removing it from the
MBR? If so could someone be so kind as to tell me how it is done? Appreciate
it! TIA!

Intel processors if you look on the underside at the
processors number "S" designates a "standard" chip and a "V" designates a
"voltage regulated chip." Don't know if this is the answer but thought I
would throw my 2 cents worth in!

Hi All,
I realize this is a little off topic butis there a way to boot BeOS with
LILO? If so could someone tell me how it can be done? Thanks!

I am using both a Phoebe Microsytems external with the TI chipset and a USR

I was just wonderingI just became the "proud owner" of a GW2K P5-75 with

I or is it not up for the task? If not what distro would you experts

Just FYI I finally got L-M 6.1 reinstalled. I had to disconnect my new
Iomega CDR-W and reconnect my Toshiba 32X CD-ROM before it would
install. Go figure, don't know what's up with that!
Thanks for your feedback, must be an easier way......?

Please, any help on this would be much appreciated! I have made

Not really L-M related, but I stumbled upon this little gem of an OS demo
that fits on a floppy. Works like a champ on Linux or Windows. Seems like
someone who has the gift of developing software could really do something with
this to make an acceptable browser and email client. IMHO, that is
in /etc/rc.d/rc.local I added at the end -
/sbin/modprobe ide-scsi
/sbin/modprobe sg
Then ran "ln -s /dev/scd0 /dev/cdrom"
Not only can I NOT use X-CD-Roast I can
also no longer mount my cdrom! 8^ (
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi All!
As much as I would like to use LM on my "new" machine I will be unable to.
(33mHz, 16RAM, 350HDD)
Can anyone suggest a good "text based" version of the Linux OS? Appreciate
it much!

Hi Everyone!
With mixed feedback to my question to this list last week.I went ahead
and installed LM 5.3 on an old 486 with 16RAM, 350MB HDD and a 33mHz CPU.
Install went fine, but very minimal and VERY slow! Takes forever for X to load.
I am having a small problem tho.' I cannot get the
lifesaver for me!

I found "bookmark.html" it had everything except the "personal" ones. I just
want to back them up so as not to have to go through the *big* hassle of
redoing them if/when I have to do a reinstall! T
