You could bring down the network if you use IPX and turn on routing. Unlike TCP/IP
where you have a default route, an IPX router anounces itself and then everyone else
tries to use it.

down from one machine if you really had the intention
to do so. there are detailed documentations for such
(disguised as networking monitoring
tools) all over the net.
