Amy,
This vet is either flat out lying or isn't using it correctly.
It is very rare but a cat can have a reaction and that reaction is that
it wouldn't help and the HCT would continue to go down, in some cases
this is because the dose isn't high enough, a few kitties need higher
than the
And I do a nasal saline spray (Ayr) since the netti pot and I don't agree.
Also, warm salt water gargle.

Hi Sue,
Just wanted to ask what Casper's HCT is right now? Does he have CRF? I have
looked into Epogen as well and know some people swear by it. I don't want to
contradict anything you've heard but just wanted to offer up another thing to
consider. The specialist I talked to said all of the

I can't remember now what the time frame was. He was tested at his first vet
visit after I adopted him but I don't remember how long that was after I
brought him home. Normally I take a newly adopted cat right in to be
checked but it has been about four years...

Hi Claudia
I used Forti-Flora on MeMe. I had no idea that it would help her
mouth, but after about three weeks I
noticed that her mouth was greatly improved.
It is made by Purina but my vet said it is a very effective product
and I found that to be true.
I bought it on Amazon (of all places
Thankfully, my Gray Kitty, has been negative for over 7-8 months now.
All specialists have said we can now stop testing him monthly.

Hi Minnie,
I rescue too, and in 2008 we rescued a litter of 8 feral kittens
which we think were from two moms. Four of the kittens tested FelV
positive, and died during their first year of life. The other 4
kittens are now 2 years old and fine. I have had them tested twice
and they are still neg
Hello all;
Casper is my symptomatic cat that became positive because I mixed my positives
and negatives. I wondered if somehow I had missed his vaccinataion last year.
I asked the vet to double check and as I thought he was not even due for his
next vaccination until April. Anyway, he is now

Stanley has suddenly taken a turn for the worse. In the last two weeks, he

Laura I was saddened to read that Baby Girl has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Thankfully she had a gentle passing being loved on your lap. She had 2

I'm so sorry to hear about Baby Girl. She must have waited for you to get
home from work to be with her in her last moments. It is so hard to lose
each and every one of them. Hugs to you and Celery.

Lots of questions here. Some here may be better to answer I do not want you
to think you will not get answers. This is a fantastic group. DO not do
anything rash. Even though they are testing postive the kittens could throw
off the virus. Also there is no way to know how long they will live. So
