Melissa,
Trying to catch up on my email. Congrats on the new kitten! And that she
tested negative! That's great! I still have to get Ensie tested, which I'll
probably do this week. Let me know how she does being boarded this weekend.

Good to know that the CD isn't as bad as the rest of the Science Diet!
Thanks Susan!

Whiskas...! I think that might be what kept them going all those years!
But no, I would not recommend this to anyone really. We just had a huge dilemma with group feeding because we had a cat that would literally not eat anything but Whiskas and would never touch the Science Diets foods!

Melissa:
We had one cat (Peach) from the litter of cats that were born when I was young that developed the same problem of the formation of crystals in his urine. He honestly almost died from the condition because he was having so much trouble straining to urinate. I have always felt that
c, so I plan to start making kitty food then.

I'm so sorry about what happened with the kitten. You did what you could.
Sometimes we have to take others at their word when they promise to do the
right thing. I'm sorry these people didn't. :(

I am glad your coworker isn't a cruel person. I was

I'm so sorry about the little guy. You sound like

Melissa,
I think you are right in keeping your young kitty away
from any FeLV + kitties. They have not fully
developed their immune systems yet.
A lot of us here do not vaccinate our indoor only
cats. I don't. I've seen some scary vaccination
reactions on this site and another I
. kitties that I NEED to find homes for! The amount
of litter and food we are going through is phenomenal--but I'm sure you all
know what that is like.
Best to everyone, and I hope to receive pics of Cassidy at Best Friends very
soon!

Hey Melissa,
I am so sorry that I have not been able to reply to
this post until now. I saw it when I was out of town
last weekend, and have been so busy at work and home,
it's crazy. I am so happy to hear that Cassidy made
it to Best Friends! I hate that you miss him so, but

Melissa,
Please don't feel "dumb" at all about it.
I also pondered the idea for my cats, but never went thru w/ it the whole
way.
Me, being a vegan, well, let's just say I came to a point where I couldn't
fathom feeding my babies any meat
And, I do have
