That's good news Melissa. As far as I'm concerned, no good news is
trivial, we need as much of it as we can get! There is nothing like the
pungent aroma of intact Tom cat! Before I could my FIV boy Starman

times. He was te
I'm used to stinky pee stories. You shoulda seen the thread where my
coworkers were complaining I smelled like pee...They have moved me so
there are at least 2 cubes between me and everyone else and no more
complaints..

Great news-we were able to sleep last night! The smell has already

stuff to get out. We can only hope. I spent yesterday monitoring candles all
over the house, baking cookies, chili, anything to mask the smell! I found

Phaewryn, you have such useful advice! My screen is in no danger of falling
out-unfortunately mine are so old that they have no fire safety mechanisms!
Well, our house really isn't that old, but it was built cheaply in the early

If you just prop lattice up against the screen frame, be aware that some
screens will actually pop out if pushed on too hard (many are designed to so
to make escaping fire easier). Be sure yours are nice and secure before you

better (no corn or by-products) food will also help with the smell, but it
will take at least a week to smell any difference if it's food related.

You know Melissa, you got me thinking when you mentioned Cassidy staring
out the window like that. I wonder if there is a cat coming around that
he can see out the window. Is he hitting the litterbox, or is he
spraying the walls with his perfume? One of my sister's friends was

Thanks Nina!
Cassidy is about one year old and he just got neutered last week-so I assume
it will be a while before the smell dies down. My husband is not a happy man
today since he didn't get much sleep last night what with our baby Smokey
running around all night and bringing all kinds of toy
I was thinking the same thing. Intact Tom cat urine is very, um,
powerful. How long ago was Cassidy neutered?

It can take 4 weeks or more to get that male smell out.
But it can also smell bad if they have a UTI, as someone mentioned. Do they
still sell that first alert litter that detects a UTI?

Marylyn,
What do you cut them with?
I went to a rescuer's house that had HUGE long skinny rectangular

Tom-cat urine oder is BEYOND strong!! And it can take about 4 weeks for
