Try probiotics (health food store or order Fastrack). Also have him checked
for a UTI. This is not natural.

Great news-we were able to sleep last night! The smell has already
dissipated (knock on wood). Maybe he just had some squirts of really stinky

over the house, baking cookies, chili, anything to mask the smell! I found
That's good news Melissa. As far as I'm concerned, no good news is

I would take him to the vet. It may be a urinary tract infection.

Marylyn,
What do you cut them with?
I went to a rescuer's house that had HUGE long skinny rectangular
rubbermaid type things as litter boxes. I think the only problem
would be changing them out completely as they probably held several

it will be a while before the smell dies down. My husband is not a happy man

out the window like that. I wonder if there is a cat coming around that
he can see out the window. Is he hitting the litterbox, or is he
spraying the walls with his perfume? One of my sister's friends was

Nina, no cat wandering around that I could see, but there very well could
be. But, his piddles are always in the litter box. At first he used the
carpet until I switched to clay. Luckily I caught that right away. Now, he's
goes very nicely in the box-which is very large. I always buy those storage

He may be dehydrated, which will make the urine more concentrated. Feeding
better (no corn or by-products) food will also help with the smell, but it
will take at least a week to smell any difference if it's food related.
