Hi all,
I'm working on a piano file where all the 8th stems length are too short in
layer 2.
Do you know a way to change this globally without utilizing stem length tool
for each notes?
Thanks for your responses.
Pierre.

A Don't Print box on the expression definition screen would not allow for
a mixture of printing and nonprinting characters. For example, I have 5
different expressions to select playback patches for pizzicato: pizz. Vln.
I, pizz. Vln. II, etc., where the pizz. characters print out and the
rest
I hadn't thought of that possibility, mixing them in the same expression
with the new version -- in such situations in the past I had created two
expressions.
Thanks for pointing out new possibilities to me!

Are those 8th-note stems all down-stems sticking below the staff? If
so, Finale uses the Shortened Stem setting.
If that is the situation, you can change the length for all shortened
stems in Options/Document Settings/Stems -- try that and see if it helps
the situation.
There isn't a setting
I would think the basic layout would be what you would want to keep
consistent -- i.e. the number of staves for the concertino and the
ripieno. So in my opinion you would be best to reduce the percentage 1%
at a time until you got the fit you wanted, rather than changing the
actual layout by
For those of you not on the Macfixit website here is a great resource for upgrading or
installing Panther. The best $5.00 I ever spent.

Patterson Beams adjusts stem lengths in these situations. PB comes free
w/ Fin02 or later. It also part of my plugin pkg that works w/ Fin2000
and later.

Hello!
Sorry to bother the list for this. In our music lab, we have PowerMac
G4s (OS 10.2.6, 512MB RAM) booted from OS X only with classic
environment. I just installed Finale 2003a. Input notes from a MIDI
keyboard works fine, and the playback of QuickTime is fine but with a
slight delay.

I'm doing a large number of vocal pieces, up till now for one to
seven voices and continuo. I was using 70% system reduction, which
meant that even with 8 parts I could get two systems on a page. I
now have a piece with 2 times four parts (4 soloists and 4
ripienists),
