Hi,
Should be okay; I'm using F2k3a with a Midisport 2x2 (on an iMacG3/400)
in the classic environment of Panther, with no problems at all.

I just upgraded my Mac G4 to OSX, and am having trouble using internal
playback when running FinMac 2003 in Classic mode (external playback
through my MIDI interface/synthesizer works perfectly). For internal
speakers, when I hit play, I get a faint sound AND, more distressingly,

Is it possible, using the Mass Mover tool utility to freeze stems up or
down, to keep the original ties (I don't want them to flip when I freeze
stems)?
Thanks,

You'll need to turn auto music spacing off. Grace note spacing in
Finale doesn't work as it should. Even if you set the music spacing
options (in document options) to "Manual Spacing: Ignore", Finale
still re-spaces the grace notes when music spacing is applied. So

Using Finale 2003 on a Mac, I find that grace notes are often too far

I've been noticing that, after nudging my grace notes to the right to be
immediately before the larger note, they manage to creep back to the left

Generally speaking, Mac Finale and Virtual Memory are not happy campers.
I just put up two different answers about this on my plugin FAQ (1.5 and
1.6). Basically pre-OS9 users are screwed one way and post-OS9 users are
screwed another.

This could have to do with the fact that there are three independant levels
or ways to resize music:
(1) Page size
(2) Staff *system* size
(3) Staff size.
Are you checking all three?
Does FinMac 2003 finally address the issue of adding hyphens between
syllables over onto a new system, or do I need to continue to add a phantom
hyphen (option-space-hyphen) to accomplish this?

For years I have been using FinMac 3.7.2, and am used to a consistant size
printout of my scores.
I have finally moved into the new century and started using FinMac 2003. To
my astonishment, the print size output from my printer is much smaller
using 2003 than using 3.7.2.
In fact, a 90% resized

I admit it isn't much of a bright spot, but at least since you are using
the program professionally the upgrade is a tax-deduction so it isn't a
total loss.
I have been fortunate in that the OS that I use has remained
consistently behind the major changes on the Windows side so I have

Having purchased every upgrade since 1.0, I sure wish I could skip
this one because of it's lack of OSX support. But alas, I have a FinWin
2003 file from a client to work on, so Coda is forcing me to upgrade
if I want to continue working.
