which they appear. The top staff displays measure numbers on every
measure, so it needs to have the brackets moved up to accommodate;

or to import them from Finale? A colleague of mine is working on her
doctoral dissertation, and needs to do just that.

Yes, it's easy to use Maestro or any other music font like any other
typeface. One just has to find the right keystroke for each musical symbol.
In Windows, there's character map to help.
There are also some other music fonts geared to this that are more
compatible with text typefaces as far as

with the Metronome font, purchasable from DVM Publications (I
think someone from DVM is on this list - right?). It's not EXACTLY
the same as regular Times, but it's close, and very useful if you

Yeah, the author needs to update it for OS X. Good luck contacting
him. I sent him SEVERAL emails, and got NO REPLIES.
I ended up using a font utility called FONT LAB to convert the font
to work with OS X.

Yes, there is
Don't use the slur tool for ties! Use it for slurs!
In Simple Entry, use the Tie thingie near the bottom (shows two notes tied
together).
Even better: in Speedy Entry (Speedy is always better), use the equal sign
to tie forward, Ctrl= to tie backwards.

tutorials
