Does anyone else feel that the solo oboe in Finale's Garritan has
intonation
problems?
Maybe the rest of the Garritan orchestra should tune to the oboe - that's
how it works in real life isn't it?

I've been playing back a full band score of something I've just
written, and yes, there are intonation problems, esp. in full, loud
chords. I'm not sure it's the oboe, but they certainly are there.

I feel this way too and always work with engraver slurs off. I've seen so many people having trouble with it that I feel good with this decision. The engraver slurs need need tweaking anyway. And since articulations can be taken into consideration in the placement I still get some benefits too.

Contra Don and Andrew, I find Engraver Slurs much better-looking by
default and much easier to tweak. It's true that unedited Engraver
Slurs can be somewhat buggy (occasionally getting very tall for no
reason), but this can be avoided by nudging them all by one pixel and
then nudging them

hey guys and gals! need some help - any clues on a -5000 error when
trying to save? (Fin2005b/mac os 10.3.9) - have also noticed (and
deleted) a temporary save file on my desktop couldn't find anything
using search on the Finale support site - TIA

Applying blank notation to a group of beamed (unbracketed) tuplets
causes tuplet brackets to appear.
