This may be a daft question, but they're not on DVD disks are they? I had a
problem with the DVD version of Finale even though my computer had a DVD
drive which would read normal video DVDs. Once I changed to the CD version
the
problem disappeared.

The PDFs open on another machine :)
I assumed the trouble was NOT my laptop cd reader, because I was able
to open CDs that the library had just sent a week ago. So it seemed
very logical that the trouble was the CD ROMS, not my laptop.
I do think the troublesome CD ROMS have something about
No, the media that's giving me a hard time are CD ROMs.
But I've had mucho troubles with DVD Roms failing.
I had a disk that would not read, and a friend suggested
that sometimes making a copy of of the DVD would take care of the
trouble. Sure enough, it worked. I have no idea why it did, but
Aaron, thank you very much, you are a big help. These little things help me so
much. I really appreciate.
Raymond, no. The symphony I am talking about is Stimmen ... Verstummen on
Chandos with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic. It also contains Stufen. I
listened to it again for several times
I've looked around help for this, but can't seem to find the answer.
On Fin07, when viewing a score in Page View, with the Layout Tool, my
page numbers and Composition Title at the top of each score page are

Well, I looked it up. The name of the work was _Pro et Contra_. In 1989,
we commissioned it for performance and recording. We had a two-movement
work in our folders. On Monday, composer got off the plane with,
surprise, movement three! Conductor (our MD at the time, whose name I

I just went with what ever the default is ... i.e., I didn't
physically assign anything.

Greetings,
Just a quick question here, I am working with a symphonic score, and I want
one staff to be in 12/8 and the rest to be in 4/4 (or common time). Later
in the piece I want one staff to be in 4/4 while all the others are in 12/8.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for all your help.

two normally unrelated issues but intimitely connected for me at the moment...
am i missing something or is this some strange oversight on the part
of finale? you can set the vertical position for upper and lower
numbers, but not the + sign!?
the issue is that i need larger time sigs on

I feel sure some kind person would have the solution
It's called LATENCY

You need to perhaps get a better sound card or use a Midi module.

Once again I had this problem on my old computer when I had memory issues.
(512Mb of RAM) It was especially bad when other programs were running in the
background.
Since changing to a 2gb machine I have not had this problem.
All the best,
Lawrence
