If I am correct Mr. Tom Dowd passed away in Florida a couple of years
ago. There was a film of his life( sort of a sundance festival type of
thing) titled a life in music that bio'd his career. Very interesting
guy. As an aside to his musical career with Atlantic, he was, during

Die Claves would be the plural. In the singular (and how often does
one have only one??) one should probably refer to der Klangstab.
I've never heard of one Clave.

With respect to opening the manual for Finale, you wrote earlier that
you converted the ~.pdf files to ~.rtf format. Based upon that
statement, if it were me, here's what I'd do.
1) Close all files, folders and programs.
2) Click on Start
3) Open the folder

this is crazy... how the hell could finale overlook the fact that
when you define larger time sigs in parts you also need to not have
the time sigs show on most of the staves in the score, but of course
they have to show on all staves in the parts.
please tell me i'm wrong.

It not a book - it's a set of fonts, templates other special things
that come with a manual. It used to be available at gwmp.com, but
there's only a notice of Bill's death on the site at the moment, so
there's no way of knowing if anyone will continue to make this

Finale can overlook much. But I believe you can do what you want with a

Um, aren't there TWO settings in Documents-Time Signature where you can
tell it the spacing and stuff. Using Bill Duncan's TempoTime font, I can
set it for Parts, but also keep a different font for the score (as well
as settings)..
So, using Bill Duncan's fonts again, I can use a
Your friend needs to copy (not move) the file PersonalOrchestraVST.dll from its
present location in the GPO folder (probably C:\program files\Garritan Personal
Orchestra\VST) into the FinaleVST directory (probably C:\program files\Finale

What a sad loss for me.

great. His approach has helped me immensely and his generosity has saved
