Ok, this is basic, compared to what you guys are discussing, but ... I have set up a basic perc. staff, defining the snare drum (#59) as the pitch for playback. Later in the score, I want the sound, on the same clef, to become Side Drum (#56). What process, exactly, makes this happen? I

As I experiment more with GPO and Finale 2006, I have to admit that unpitched percussion is very tricky, especially if you are trying to convert from an older document or switch back and forth between SoftSynth and GPO percussion. It's not a simple matter of just switching percussion maps -
