Your DX7 is probably not connected at all, I mean sometimes you think,
that the device is connected but the cursor - of the speedy entry tool
- is just "resting" on that particular line or space!
Go to midi setup and here you can se the midi ports your system
provides you with. Select t
As I recall, The DX7 only sends and receives MIDI channel 1. Check
your "MIDI SETUP" so that it's set the same way as before your computer
problem?

Ray gave you good advice, but there's another thing you need to do. I'm not
sure exactly what you mean by "I get everything I imput except the correct
pitches," but you ought to make sure you've selected the DX7 for the midi
channels you're using in "midi menu" >> "midi setup" >> input/ou

I had an error message, something about "Core midi .." on launch
yesterday. Took no notice as I was looking not
listening.
Now I have a mountain of work to do (don't you believe it) my midi is
not behaving itself.
