Hi there,
I'm upgrading my FINK install by explicitly following the directions at
sourceforge.
I have chosen to update xfree86-base and -rootless, and then two
additional packages were listed as about to be installed; the
xfree86-base-shlibs and -rootless-shlibs. I chose 'Yes'

Thanks,
I had removed xfree86-base-threaded and reinstalled xfree86 base and all work well.
But why this problem with the same lib in two packages ?

I just noticed something about the .info files for fink 0.11.0 which
I wondered at the significance of. There are two .info files for
fink 0.11.0-1. One includes a postinstall script, while the other
one doesn't (see below). As far as I understand, the postinstall

You can remove the -shlibs packages yourself with
sudo dpkg -r --force-depends
and then install your replacements.

Neal,
Somebody had a problem that looks vaguely similar to yours, and he
solved it by running the postinstall script manually.

Hi,
I just reran this update-fink.sh script from fink-0.11-cvs in order to see if
something had changed. I ran it while I had an old pre-jaguar
distribution in /sw, so no /sw/10.2 yet. After a while, I got the
following output:
Unpacking replacement fink ...
Setting up fink (0.11.0.cvs-20021101.

in addition to the warning reported below, I also get crashes now in

This does not happen in version 21.5.9-1. There, I only get the warning

I have Terminal.app set up to display my hostname, so I didn't notice
that xttitle was still executing. Anyway, I have commented it out

It seems to be building just fine now. Thanks!

This is sort of a hack-type fix, but try putting these lines in your
