firefox8.info hasn't been modified in CVS since the initial checkin 4
months ago. Presumably what you saw was CVS pointing out that your local
version differed fro

I saw in the cvs update a firefox8.info file: so I attempted to build firefox
again.
/usr/bin/clang++ -o xpcquickstubs.o -c -fvisibility=hidden

Dear All,
since a few weeks my fink updates always fail with gdb. In particular, I
get the error messages shown below. I am using 10.5 (quite old, I know
;-)) Intel. I couldn't find any reference to gdb build failure in the
recent fink mailings.
In case that there will be no 10.5-compatible up

Hi Alexander
I never said do not use the original source...
the patched/post-patched copy I sent you is just to show you it works as I
tested it...
you can add mtpfs capability by adding the original source and patching on the
fly, as MacPorts does...
it is a very useful fuse fs add up, if it is

Here's what I get: (and w.r.t. the other thread it does appear to be
picking up on Fink's freetype2 automatically)
gcc -fno-strict-aliasing -g -O2 -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall

OK, that makes sense. I will add it to the dependencies, although the two
header files are the same, so presumably both would have to be absent if the
build fails?

Thanks a lot for this info.
With these new finkinfo files, compilation went smoothly for me.

Hi Bill,
Great point. Thanks. I'll check on this and get back to you.

My ISO (information security office) is requiring me (it says
"recommends" below--but that's not what they really mean) to update my
Samba installation on a MacOS 10.5 machine that I have.
Currently fink offers Samba3 at version: 3.6.0.

That file lives in /usr/X11/include/freetype2/freetype/config/ftheader.h and
should be part of the X11 distribution. Can you double-check that the X11 SDK
got installed with your X-code install?
Hi there,
I'm trying to compile the latest PyMOL using Fink on Mac OS X 10.5.8. I have
Xcode 3.1.4 installed.
I have run "fink selfupdate" several times and adjusted the threading to "1". I
did a "fink update-all" using the "stable" branch, too.
I get the error whether I run "fink install pymo
Hi,
I don't know how pertinent this is to the world at large (who has
probably moved to more modern window managers by now ;-) ), but I am
partial to the enlightenment window manager (the 16 i.e. old variety),
having been using it for ages. I am in fact using a horrible hack to
have it on 10.6 bu
