I downloaded the latest(version 4.2.0-11, Mon Aug 12) xfree86-base and
-rootless and KDE is working again, thanks!!! The build and install took
about 90 minutes on my iBook(G3 700 256Mb RAM) - no problems. Gnome is
running fine as well.
However, I'm now experiencing another, less drastic
.dylib
/sw/lib/libkdeui.4.dylib undefined reference to _XShmQueryExtension
expected to be defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.6.dylib
Warning: connect() failed: : Connection refused
Error: Can't contact kdeinit!
Any tips on how to proceed in fixing things would be appreciated.
