Hiya,
I wonder if it is wise to put the line
source /sw/bin/init.sh
into the file /etc/profile?
That way, Fink would be known by all users and the system.
Here an example: I want to install Moveable Type on my iBook, but the
installation routine (running a perl cgi-bin) complains that it cannot
Hiya,
I am using fink-unstable on my Jaguar-system and I installed the latest
dbi-pm and dbd-mysql-pm with "fink install". (see below)
I tried to install "Movable Type" on my computer, but the program
"mt-check.cgi" complains that "DBD::mysql" is not installed.
Do I have to adjust some system-
e rsync to synchronize my iBook with my Desktop Powermac,
but I am afraid of data loss (who isn't? :-)...
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Stephan Jaeger

Hiya,
What I have read so far, is that you cannot use the tcl/tk that is
installed by fink, when you want to use DarwinPorts. This information
is now 2 weeks old and may be out of date.
I have Fink as my main distribution installed (because it is a great
piece of software!!) and have installed

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,

Hi Everybody!
I wonder how I can use wwwoffle on my iBook, when I am completely
disconnected from the Internet?
The situation is that I use my laptop at work, where I am connected to
the Intranet/Internet and where I use wwwoffle as a proxy. That works
fine and I can read all the pages, even w
Hi everybody,
I have to get into XML and XSLT now and therefore installed the
packages from unstable. Does someone have already any experience with
these tools under fink?
I cannot get the easiest examples up and running.
Because I am still relatively new to Java, I have problems to figure

Hi,
I am almost sure that /sw/fink/debs/ has to be copied, as well (or the
links have to be set manually).
I know from my own experience that this directory is a kind of a
reference for fink. Without the links, fink starts to build the packages
again, although the debs are in the dists direct
