I have the Bose Campanion 2 speakers. I only have one complaint. There is no
way to turn it off. Has an AC step down wall wart.
Otherwise it has been an excellent speaker set for the 5000A. I used it with
the SDR-1000, but the audio output wasn't as high. The 5000A puts out more
audio than the D-4

I didn't look - but all the info is almost certainly there if Bose patented it.
Look on one of the speakers for the number and then check it out at:
http://patft.uspto.gov/
Having a patent number REALLY simplifies finding the patent.

Tom,
I believe that the TrueSpace type stereo signaling processing is a proprietary
technology of Bose. I have found zero info about it is done, which I suspect is
deliberate on the part of Bose. I use the Companion2 speakers. There is no way
to turn this effect off.
I like the way they soun
Thanks. That is good info to know. It will help with testing.

I'm considering speaker choices for a new 5000a and note that the Bose
Companion 2 is on the list at http://kb.flex-radio.com/article.aspx?id=10244
Looking at the displays at computer stores, it appears this speaker has
a circuit that attempts to simulate stereo. Bose has a reputation for

Ross,
What modem are you using? I successfully used a AEA 2232 radio modem

I would greatly appreciate it very much if you could give me the status of
order number 1569 for a HC 5 microphone for the 5000C.
The order is dated 1/11/08, and I have heard noting as to it being shipped.
Thank you very much,
