That is true -- the CATV meter (an SDA 5000) does measure levels in dBmV and at
75 ohms.. I'll poke around and see what I can find out.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Harry,
Radio Works has an enclosed choke that I use between my amp and the
radio. Stops the RF from getting back into the radio.

Just a heads-up. CATV meters typically measure levels expressed in dBmV.
(dB referenced to 1 millivolt across 75 ohms). We work with dBmW (dB referenced
to 1 milliwat. for us, this parameter is is across 50 ohms. The CATV meter
reading will be a lot different. The difference between th
Scott,
Another way to do this in the latest software is to use the built in signal
generator. Set the mode to Tone and the scale to 1.0. Then put it on
output (make sure to disconnect speakers first as it will likely be loud).

I put a Bug in for this today, if someone has a SDR1000 and could possibly
test this out and see if it works for them it would be nice to know.
If so please let me know what version software you are running. Thanks

Tim,
I have been complaining for some time about the AGC response of the
PowerSDR. In addition to my own complaints, I have received direct mail
from several Flex users encouraging me to continue my complaints.
Today I went back and looked again at the manual and setup. I find that

I have a similar problem -- I have heard nothing on 6 meters. I do see a lot
of spurs.
As a quick test I checked to see if I got local TV channel 2 Video 55.25 Mhz
and audio 59.75 -- I received both, but the signal is not as strong as I
expected. I'm going to see what the signal strength is

Phil,
I have worked a few stations on six meters, but the Flex 5000 performance
for sensitivity and noise figure on six meters is not up to most other
radios. It certainly is inferior to my Yaesu FT-920.
The noise figure of the Flex 5000 on six meters is about 15 dB. Most people

All,
It's been at least year since I last surveyed the user group to see what
third party software is being used so it's time to update the list. At your
leisure, please send me a list of ALL the third party programs you are
successfully using with your Flex radio (loggers, digital, comm, audio,
RX2 will be released when the software is ready. However, we fully expect a
stream of continuous upgrades to the software as a result of user input and
fresh ideas. Long live SDR. :)

Scott,
"Then I took a download of beta to get the larger console I moved the database
over from the present I was using and started getting reports of a reverb."
This is probably the root cause of your issues. One should never "move" or
import a database between major versions of PowerSDR. Yo
I had the same problem. Clean all the cable connectors with deoxidant.
I used De-Oxit from Radio Shack. Cleared the problem up for me.

On V1.10.4 and alpha versons how does one go about checking the voltage on the
line out?
If I go through the routine hitting test shows nothing. It seems like one time
in the past I had to go back to a older version to make this work?
