I have tried several different 1394a cards, have not found a lot of difference, except do not try USB/FireWire combo cards, they tend to share IRQs, and do not use Adaptec FireWire PCMCIA cards, as I have wiped out three with different results. But even the cheap Chinese cards seem to work

I have WSJT working on my 5000 but am curious as to how to set the TX gain in the VAC setting. For PSK31 I use an IMD Meter from KK7UQ (which works great BTW) and that helps me set my my IMD for <23db. However I have no idea as to where to set the TX gain for JT65A. Thanks Zack N8FNR
